Puppy University
Dreaming of a confident, well-rounded, and happy dog?
Puppy University is a fun, structured and practical course designed to help you turn your puppy’s foundation training into real-life skills you can rely on every day.
Learn skills through a 6-week course, focussing on teaching your dog to respond in real life settings.
Each training exercise gradually progresses building on your dog’s understanding and reliability each week in a friendly and encouraging environment.

Classes run on Thursday evenings, covering different skills each week and are flexible to accommodate each dog team depending where they are in their Good Companion journey.
Perfect for Puppy School graduates or dogs who have had some foundational training.

Puppy School UK
Puppy School is a set of six puppy training classes lasting one hour. The comprehensive curriculum has been carefully designed to take you through all the training basics giving you a great foundation for life with your new puppy, or for any further training classes or dog sport you choose to do later.
The puppy training exercises gradually progress from easy to more complex, building on your puppy’s understanding and reliability each week
What will your puppy learn?
- Come when called
- Calm settling
- Loose lead walking
- Handling and vet exam practise
- Sit, down and stand and stay on cue
- Greeting people and other puppies
- …And so much more!
Is my puppy suitable?
Starting training as early as possible is the best way to set the stage for success. We welcome any pup up to 20 weeks old at the start of the course. All puppies should have their first round of vaccinations. Any questions? Get in touch via kaitlin@encoredogs.com
